WILD SCIENCE EXPLORERS

Science Education and Stewardship Rafting Trips

Our non-profit organization takes teenagers, including lower income teens, on 2-5 day science and stewardship education rafting trips down the Lower Salmon River and 1-2 day trips on the Snake River near Celebration Park.

Using the river corridor as a classroom, participants study stream ecology, botany, and geology while also participating in natural resource monitoring and service projects. They take part in team-building activities, learn Leave No Trace camping skills, and gain whitewater rafting experience.

Staying Afloat

WSE relies on grants and donations for our trips.  It costs $1000 to sponsor a participant on a 5 day Lower Salmon trip, which covers transport cost and all costs on the river.  Please consider donating--all donations go directly to getting kids on the river.
